BuildBot Error 2 is a utility for processing large buildbot logs. It's a convenient tool for developers to use for debugging buildbot logs, especially when it contains multiple files or when they're not processed immediately.
This utility has no official support from Google or any other entity.
A few years ago, Chromium developers found that, with the massive size of Chromium's logging output, it was difficult to find errors in their code. In order to solve this problem, Google decided to introduce a new logging format that, instead of showing the source location, it will show the line number and column number, allowing developers to quickly locate the problematic line in their code.
However, when using this logging format, it was also found that the developers were unable to use a simple tool for finding errors, such as grep or another tool that parses the logs.
Therefore, the Chromium developers decided to create their own utility that parses the logs and allows them to use it in a more convenient way.
